Today was a good day for the most part.
Steve had decided that we were going to MacEwan college during their open house to take a look at their art programs. They weren't bad but it seemed somewhat less than what I would be getting from a place like ACAD or Emily Carr. Those are definitely the two top schools I'm considering. Apparently Steve says that we might make side trips to Calgary and Vancouver when we go to visit my grandparents during spring break, so we can check out the two schools. J'ai très envie.
J'espère je peux parler toujours en français. J'aime cette langue plus que moine, mais je ne parle bien et je doix apprendre à l'école pour une année encore après cette. Est-ce que vous me voulez arrêter parler en français? Je vais arrêter, mais seulement parce que vous me demandiez. XD

Anyways, one little side effect of today's journey is how I am now all freaked out about the future.
Hopefully it all turns out alright.
Unfortunately, I still have to get working on the in-school assignments I have been procrastinating on. I finished the group of seven reproductions, but I still need to finish the reproduction of www.artrenewal.org/asp/databas… "Burning of the Houses of Parliament"

So who's in the mood for a little story?
This one begins a few months ago amidst my time-killing internet browsing. My life had reached a state of veritable boredom and the days were beginning to blur together into a murky soup. Going through the list of my bookmarked sites, searching for news of an update to give meaning and excitement to my otherwise lacking existence, I notice that I had received a message on none other than deviantArt.
Further investigation into the message reveals I have no idea who this person is, nor have I met them before. Intrigued, I read what they have left to me in my inbox. I learn that they, like me once upon

Yes, as crazy as it might seem to say, I am in fact still in existence on the face of the earth. Other things have simply been the focus of my attention so far this summer and, as upsetting as it may be, likely will continue to.
If I had it my way I'd at least like a little more time and energy for art, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. When I realized this I was quite distraught. I had made a promise to myself that this summer would be one where I worked on my painting and drawing skills for next year and the inevitable application to schools after that. It was a kind of promise that had to be kept if I was to live with myself

I know I haven't been uploading alot of art recently, but there's a legitimate excuse. As of late all my time has been going into school assignments which I am still vastly behind on ;___; They include:
1. Turner Reproduction (see WIP in my gallery)
2. Follow up reproduction (same style as above artist, but our own image)
3. Sketchbook assignments
The first two are fairly major assignments and I haven't even gotten to the second OTL . . . I cry. We're already moving on in class, so you can bet alot of time when I wouldn't usually be doing art will now be allocated to that purpose.
